Good milk comes from happy cows, and happy cows live right here in Idaho at Cloverleaf Dairy in Buhl. For almost 25 years, Donna and Bill Stoltzfus have been raising Holstein dairy cattle and producing milk. And since 2007, Cloverleaf Creamery has provided milk, cream, butter, ice cream, and other dairy products to commercial operations and grocery stores in southern Idaho.

They do it the old-fashioned way, handling their products from cow to customer, treating their herd of around 80 cows to a natural pasture diet, limiting the use of antibiotics to treatment only, and bottling their milk in those traditional (and reusable) heavy glass bottles. Cloverleaf whole milk is actually whole—untreated and unprocessed beyond USDA regulations—so that the cream rises to the top as nature intended. Though the average age of a dairy cow across the country is just 4-5 years, the Stoltzfus’s lucky Holsteins live full, natural lives at the 40-acre farm, where every cow is treated like a valuable member of the farm family.
