Expo Idaho has named Helen Baker as the new director of Expo Idaho and the Western Idaho Fair.

Baker brings extensive experience in fairground management, community events, and public partnerships. Most recently, she served as director of the Jackson County Expo in Southern Oregon, where she helped revitalize the nearly 400-acre event campus by strengthening community partnerships, expanding events, and restoring momentum to the fairgrounds.

Prior to her role in Jackson County, Baker built a career working in communications, sponsorship development, and community programming. Her experience leading large-scale events and building partnerships will help guide Expo Idaho as it continues to grow as a year-round destination for the Treasure Valley.

Baker says she is excited to step into the role at a time when the Expo campus is evolving and expanding.

“I’m incredibly excited to join Expo Idaho and the Western Idaho Fair,” Baker said. “This is such an important place for the community, and I’m looking forward to building on the traditions that already make the fair and the Expo so special.”

She says her goal is to continue strengthening Expo Idaho’s role as a gathering place for the community while supporting the Western Idaho Fair’s long-standing traditions.

“Our mission is to create a space where people come together and make memories,” Baker said. “I’m excited to work with our team and community partners to continue growing events and opportunities for families across the Treasure Valley.”
