DESCRIPTION:The Western Idaho Fair and Dirt Road Dancing have teamed up to bring back this year’s Country Swing Dance Contest on Saturday\, August 23\, 2025. Contest is FREE with fair admission. All contestants will need to register online no later than midnight August 22th. Dancers will be required to check in no later than 5:30PM at the Dirt Road Dancing booth\, next to the main stage day of contest. All contestants will dance to a randomized song. Dance competition will begin 7pm.Presented by:  \n  \nRules and Regulations\nQualifications\n\nAll contestants must be at least 16 years of age. Contestants under 18 years of age must have parent/legal guardian signature on liability release form.\nMust be registered online before midnight Friday\, August 22nd.\nCompetition is limited to the first 20 qualified entries.\nThis is a BEGINNER/AMATEUR dance competition\, therefore anyone who has received compensation to instruct or perform any style of country dancing will be ineligible to compete.\nAll competitors must check in with a signed liability waiver by 5:30pm the day of contest. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS. FAILURE TO CHECKIN PRIOR TO 5:30PM WILL RESULT IN AUTOMATIC 5 POINT DEDUCTION FROM THE COMPETITION.\n\nPrizes\nThe overall top three highest scores will be awarded! \n\nFirst Place: $200 Cash + Prizes\nSecond Place: $150 Cash + Prizes\nThird Place: $100 Cash + Prizes\n\nContest Regulations\n\nOne song per couple will be chosen. All songs will be selected at random.\nJudges will be selected prior to the contest and are not allowed to compete.\nDancers will dance 90 seconds to a randomized song. Organizers reserve the right to group similar dances together or shorten the length of songs in the event of time constraints. The length of the song will be consistent for all competitors and determined by organizers. \nLifts\, drops and aerials are allowed but not required.
