Details and Rules
Get ready to bring the heat and showcase your salsa-making skills at our Salsa Making Contest! Join us to compete to craft the most mouthwatering salsa. If you have a passion for salsa and love experimenting with ingredients, this contest is for you!
How to Play:
- Register to secure your spot in the Salsa Making Contest. We’re looking for 20 participants aged 12 years old or older to bring their culinary prowess to the table.
- Arrive at the venue by 2:00 pm. Each participant will receive a knife, cutting board, bowl, and all the essential tools required to create your salsa.
- You’ll have access to a wide selection of fresh and flavorful ingredients to choose from. Tomatoes, peppers, onions, cilantro, lime, garlic, and more await your creative touch!
- The clock starts ticking the moment you begin. You have 15 minutes to slice, dice, and combine your chosen ingredients to create a salsa that packs a punch.
- Once the 15 minutes are up, present your salsa to our esteemed panel of judges. They’ll evaluate your creation based on taste, originality, texture, and overall presentation.
Winners will be chosen for the following categories:
- Best taste/ tastiest
- Spiciest
- Most unique/ creative salsa
Safety Note: Participants are encouraged to handle the equipment and knives with care. Please be mindful of any food allergies and sensitivities when selecting ingredients.
Registration
Register at the Contest Area at the Fairgrounds 30 minutes prior to the event’s start time.
